AMI Weather Proof Container  

AMI-R&D department is proud of developing well proven designs for weather proof canopies / containers. Computer Aided Design programs for weather proof containers (CADSP) is developed by AMI engineers to reach the optimum design. According to the customer requests AMI R&D department can feed input data to the CADSP system and obtain the design of the required canopy/container.

       
 
The Standard features of AMI Weather Proof Container

  • Canopy skeleton is constructed from “C” standard channels 160mm, 120mm and 100mm supported by 50mm square sections.

  • Canopy painting include anti-rust primer and 2 layers of high quality painting coat.

  • Canopy is supplied by two doors at each side.

  • Canopy is design to insure the efficient performance of the gen-set, through air handling louvers, which can be assembled and disassembled easily for maintenance of radiator and alternator.

  • The cabin is designed in a way that insures efficient performance and ease maintenance.

  • Anti vibration mounting provided for all the gen-sets.

  • Hooks for easy cabin handling and lifting (the cabin and gen-set).
    External cable drains.

  • Heavy duty galvanized hinges.

  • Safety locks.

  • The control panel is placed outside the canopy for ease operating and visualizing of all set gauges.

  • The canopy can be assembled and disassembled easily for performing major overhaul.

  • Internal light.

  • Rain cap over the exhaust silencer pipe to avoid rainwater from entering the silencer.

  • Daily maintenance can be done inside the canopy in an easy way.
    External fuel / water filling possibilities.

    Noise And Vibration Control 

    AMI noise control worldwide. 
    In the field of noise control, AMI is a market leader in EGYPT and the Middle East. AMI "R&D" department is proud of developing well proven designs for sound attenuation, using special sound proof canopies lined with sound absorbing material of certain characteristics, supplied by special air inlet and exit baffled attenuator. It was a difficult task to compromise between two contradicted design objectives namely; noise limit and the amount of airflow required
    for cooling and combustion. Computer Aided Design programs for Sound Proof (CADSP) is developed to handle that optimum design problem. According to the customer requests AMI "R&D" department can feed input data to the CADSP system and obtain the designed attenuation required.

    The Standard Sound Proof Canopy 

  • It consists of soundproof panel's steel walls, painted with high quality painting coat. The canopy is lined by suitable noise absorption material (flame proof & environment friendly).

  • Internal or external mounted isolated heavy-duty high attenuation silencers (mufflers). Anti vibration mounting provided for all the gensets.
    Hooks for easy cabin handling and lifting.

  • External cable drains.

  • Heavy duty galvanized hinges.

  • Safety locks.

  • The control panel is placed outside the canopy for ease operating and visualizing of all gen set gauges.

  • The canopy can be assembled and disassembled easily for performing major overhauling. 

  • Attenuators 

  • The cabin is fitted with air handling inlet and exit attenuator of special designed baffles.

  • Baffles are produced from rock wool material with special design to reduce pressure drop.

  • Baffles attenuate sound radiated from the gen set.
    The attenuators are equipped with louvers that act as anti dust system and birds guard.

  •  The Canopy Dimensions are determined according to both the gen-set rating and the required noise level. The sound level of the canopy is measured according to international standards ISO 8528-Part 10. AMI Standard sound proof canopy is designed to obtain: 70 dBA at 7m (Free field condition)

  •  Higher attenuation (= Less noise level) can be performed according to customer requirements.    
  • Decision Module

    The proper selection of the optimum design can be handled from the design alternatives through this module. This could be done through fuzzy logic decision making subroutine. Therefore, the design parameters, namely; cabin dimensions, type of sound absorbing material used, baffled silencer dimension, baffles number, baffles thickness, are proposed.

    Output Module

    Output assembly & detail drawings are created for the proper selected design by linking CADSP automatically with AutoCAD software. Sample of the assembly drawing is illustrated in Fig. (6).
     
     A proper selected Anti Vibration Mountings ( AVM ) are fitted as part of the AMI standard scope of supply. AMI is able also to design special sets for critical vibration requirement such as Railways application, On roof installation, Marine Sets, Mobile Sets ..etc
